On September 25th, Coldplay performed at the new York City portion of Global Citizen Live.
For their performance of their X&Y hit “Fix You,” they brought out Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas. Coldplay, Eilish, and Finneas delivered a touching rendition of the famous tune.
At another point in their set, Coldplay recruited Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes for “Yellow.” They also performed their new single “My Universe” with BTS virtually.

The charity Global Citizen Live gigs took place at several cities around the world over 24 hours. Ed Sheeran played the Paris gig with Doja Cat, H.E.R., and Christine and the Queens.
“Over the last year and a half, we’ve seen music bring communities together and inspire action during one of the most challenging times of our generation,” senior vice president and head of music, entertainment, and artist relations at Global Citizen Katie Hill explains. “We’re excited to join these incredible artists to unite people across the globe on September 25th as we hold world leaders accountable to rectify the damage caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.”
The London portion of Global Citizen Live featured Duran Duran, and Kylie Minogue. It also boasted performances from Måneskin, Nile Rodgers and Chic, and Rag’n’Bone Man.
In Los Angeles, Stevie Wonder headlined alongside Adam Lambert and Chloe x Halle. They were joined by Demi Lovato, H.E.R., ONEREPUBLIC, Ozuna, The Lumineers, and 5 Seconds of Summer.
Global Citizen Live boasted more performances in locations like Rio de Janeiro, Sydney, Lagos, Mumbai, Seoul, and more.
