Concert To Be Hosted Inside TTC’s Abandoned Subway Station

The Ghost Subway Stations Will Be Transformed Into a Music Venue On May 11th!

Ever heard of a concert happening in an abandoned subway station? Me neither, which is why the TTC’s line up of performances in the ghost subway station “Lower Bay” is going to be epic.

The abandoned station has been out of service since 1966, and is to be transformed into a music venue on May 11th for Canadian Music Week.

Although the headliner has not yet been announced, the Toronto industrial techno producer E-Saggila, local art-rock band Deliluh, and Scarborough-based rapper Tyriqueordie have all been confirmed.

The performers are to be framed by two silent, unmoving and open-doored TTC trains.

The 19+ event is sponsored by TTC and Exclaim! magazine, and is put together by concert promoter Dan Burke and musician Kyle Knapp.

The event’s advance tickets are sold out, however, fear not music fans. Once the headliner is announced, your chance to attend will be as more tickets will go on sale.
