Danny Brown Got Dave Chappelle High Before his Disastrous 2015 Comeback Show

The comedian was so high he was booed by the crowd

Back in 2015, Dave Chappelle was booed by the audience during one of his comeback shows in Detroit. The comedian was slurring his words and delivering inaudible one-liners.

It turns out that the reason he was so out of it was because rapper Danny Brown got him completely baked before the show. You can kind of watch, but mostly listen, to the awkward footage below.

“I had smoked some reefer with some rappers,” said Chappelle. “I don’t know if you know anything about hanging out with rappers, but their weed is very strong. Stronger than I was accustomed to.”

Chappelle admitted this today, and a response from Danny Brown came via Twitter (and was reposted by the rapper on Instagram).

“Haven’t seen Dave new special but heard he gotta bit about that night I got him stoned to the gills … momma I made it!!!” reads the caption by Brown.

Chappelle recently returned to the screen with his new Netflix show that was released on March 21.
