Dave ‘Bookie’ Bookman’s personal vinyl collection to go on sale this week at Rotate This with proceeds going toward MusiCounts

On May 21, 2019, we lost our music broadcasting heart with the passing of brilliant radio host, encyclopaedic music lover, avid sports fan, moral compass, beloved son, brother and friend, Dave “Bookie” Bookman. Now, to honour our very own Bookie, and his deep love of music, his personal record collection has been donated to Toronto’s Rotate This.

On Thursday, November 21st, 2019, the records will be on sale and proceeds will be going directly to MusiCounts, a charity close to Bookie’s heart. Over 600 of his personal records will be identified with a special sticker. Bookie loved his vinyl record collection, and it’s only fitting that these records will continue to inspire others while contributing to MusiCounts.

In May, we at Indie88 suspended regular programming to honour Bookie, while raising funds in honour of the MusiCounts Band Aid program, ultimately surpassing $75,000. Help to continue Bookie’s love and passion for music by checking out the collection made available at Rotate This.
