The sleeve of David Bowie’s Blackstar is very simple, but a fan has discovered a beautiful hidden secret about the artwork.
According to a Reddit user, their friend over exposed the album cover to sunlight and a mesmerizing starfield appeared in the gatefold.
Apparently, they left it out for one to three hours on a sunny day. If you decide to try this out we recommend you take out the vinyl from the sleeve, so you don’t bake your precious Bowie record in the sun.
If you leave Bowie's #Blackstar vinyl out in the sun, the blackstar turns into a sea of stars. ?✨?✨? pic.twitter.com/ysXlz0LFSg

A few months ago, designer Johnathan Barnbrook spoke about the symbolism of the Blackstar artwork:
“[It] has as a sort of finality, a darkness, a simplicity, which is a representation of the music. It’s subsided a bit now, but a lot of people said it was a bullshit cover when it came out, that it took five minutes to design. But I think there is a misunderstanding about the simplicity.”
Could there be any other hidden messages in this album?
