Everyone from Robert De Niro to Joss Whedon have put together videos confronting the Presidential election, with obvious hostility toward Donald Trump. The White Stripes briefly reunited earlier last week to condemn the Republican presidential candidate, and have begun now selling “Icky Trump” T-shirts online.
The latest to follow the trend are indie royalty rockers, Death Cab for Cutie. The band released a new anti-Trump song, titled “Million Dollar Loan” – how fitting.
It’s the first in the band’s manager, Jordan Kurland and author Dave Eggers’s 30 Days, 30 Songs series. Every day for the next 30 days until the election, a different artist will release a Trump-protesting song, which is set to include material from Aimee Mann, Thao Nguyen, Bhi Bhiman, and REM.
