Apart from sharing the odd photo here and there, Death Cab For Cutie have been relatively quiet about their future endeavors. However it looks as if they are finally ready to lift the lid on their ninth studio album.
Taking a bit of time off of the recording studio (the band has been touring steadily however) since 2015’s Kintsugi, DCFC’s most recent release was “Million Dollar Loan,” a politically motivated track part of the 30 Days, 30 Songs series.
In a new clip shared today, Benjamin Gibbard and co shared a taste of what’s to come, hinting at a new album coming this summer. In the post, the band points to their website with the wording “Death Cab For Cutie, August 2018” suggesting a possible release schedule. Their website has also been updated with a whole slew of new tour dates. Check out the new clip below:
