Disney makes new ‘Black Panther’ opening credits in honour of Chadwick Boseman’s birthday

In honour of the late 'Black Panther' star

The Walt Disney Co. has made new opening credits for Black Panther in honour of what would have been the late Chadwick Boseman’s 44th birthday on Sunday.

The 30 second long opening is montage of Boseman’s role as King T’Challa, aka Black Panther, with the accompanying Marvel logo in purple. “Long live the King,” Marvel Studios wrote on Twitter. “#WakandaForever.”

On August 28th, Boseman, who had never spoken publicly of his diagnosis, died of cancer.
