Divine Fits: An Indie Rock Fan’s Dream

Canadian/US indie supergroup is definitely worth a listen

It all started in 2007 when Spoon’s Britt Daniel attended a Handsome Furs show and struck up a conversation with the band’s co-leader, Dan Boeckner (formerly of Wolf Parade). Fans of each other’s sounds, Daniel and Boeckner joked that they should start a band together.

Fast forward to 2011 – Daniel and Boeckner got together with New Bomb Turks drummer Sam Brown and keyboardist Alex Fischel and the indie supergroup, Divine Fits, was born.

Divine Fits worked with producer Nick Launay on their debut album, A Thing Called Divine Fits, which was released in 2012 via Merge Records.

More recently, the band dropped a double-A side single, “Ain’t That The Way / Chained To Love.”
