Doughnut Cones Get Permanent Location in Toronto

The delicious Chimney cones and cakes are here to stay

Doughtnut/chimney cones and chimney cakes took Toronto by storm this past summer. Eva’s Original Chimneys is a food truck that serves up delicious dessert pastries. They describe them as “unique, bread-like freshly baked Hungarian pastries, named after their hollow, cylindrical shape. They have a satisfying crunch on the outside and a delicious, light and fluffy dough on the inside.”

This Sunday, February 12th, Eva’s is opening its flagship location at 454 Bloor Street West (Bloor and Bathurst) to serve up their delectable treats 7 days a week. They’ll be open from 11am-11pm daily.

The store is named after owner Justin’s grandmother Eva who was born and raised in Budapest. Her favourite thing to eat as a kid were Kürtoskalács (chimney cakes), and after Justin and his wife Kristin tried the Kürtoskalács while traveling in Hungary, they knew they had to bring it back home to Toronto.
