Dublin electronic artist Abbacaxi has shared his debut EP, Endless, out now via Lost Decay Records (Faction Records).
Throughout the EP, Abbacaxi channels fun, effervescent sounds and neo-soul vocals. On Endless Abbacaxi striked a perfect blend of electronica, disco, and bedroom house music. It’s a self-produced collection, influenced by acts like St Germain, Little Dragon, and Kerri Chandler.
“I wrote the Endless EP when I returned to Ireland after many years of living abroad,” Abbacaxi explains. “I had no money, but I was having a great time writing my own music, making new friends and reacquainting myself with old ones. These tracks are inadvertently linked to those times, as I made my way through the murky waters of my early twenties, and both the beautiful and ugly moments which come along with that.”

“I experienced a lot of highs and lows in a short period of time but I realized I wasn’t the only one around me feeling depressed from time to time,” Abbacaxi adds. “For every really bad experience, there is an amazing one waiting around the corner. Life is so much easier when you remember that.”
Abbacaxi served a long musical apprenticeship, but now he’s making music on his own. He’s found a fresh sound that is all about positivity. In his music, he draws on the sounds of jazz, funk, and disco, all while adding his own twist.
