Neighbouring Little Portugal and Little Italy, Toronto neighbourhood Dufferin Grove has just made it to Time Out’s list of the 50 coolest neighbourhoods in the world.
Dufferin Grove falls between Dufferin, Ossington, Bloor and Dundas West. It’s listed for its affordability, centrality, and eclectic new restaurants and cafés. Highlighting SoSo Food Club and Burdock Brewery as local hot spots, the site lists the community, small town charm, and local avant-garde artists as the major highlights of the neighbourhood.
The article also lists the green spaces as a unique aspect of the neighbourhood, which lies within Toronto’s concrete jungle.
Coming in at number No. 39 out of 50 neighbourhoods, Dufferin Grove falls just behind Montreal’s Petite Italie. The list features famous neighbourhoods like New York’s West Village, Sydney’s Enmore, Los Angeles’ Highland Park, and Madrid’s Embajadores, which comes in at No. 1.
