Eaton Centre’s Skybridge is Getting a Face Lift

skybridgeWith renovations underway for the brand new Saks Fifth Avenue store set to open at Yonge and Dundas next Spring, it’s no surprise things around the Eaton Centre are a-changin’. One of the major changes is a brand-new skybridge pedestrians can take to pass over Queen St between the Eaton Centre and the old Hudson’s Bay building, which is where Saks will be housed.

The floor-to-ceiling spiraling glass paneled design plans to breathe new life into the currently drab building connector (see left), and is only one of the new things to come: Saks’ flagship store will also feature a 3-story food hall within the Bay building, a valet service, and a full restaurant. Saks is scheduled to open in spring 2016.
