Eddie Murphy returns to ‘Saturday Night Live’ to host for the first time in more than 30 years

He'll be hosting the Christmas episode on December 21

Veteran comedian Eddie Murphy is set to return to Saturday Night Live to host for the first time in more than 30 years.

Murphy, who was a regular cast member on SNL from 1980 to 1984, will return to Studio 8H in Rockefeller Center to host the show’s Christmas episode on December 21st. The last time Murphy made an appearance on the hit sketch show was in 2015, when he made a brief surprise cameo as part of its 40th anniversary special.
