Prepare for your daily dose of weird Toronto news: a pair of eels were found in the bathroom at the Scarborough Town Centre shopping mall.
Mall officials were called to the bathroom Monday afternoon after a customer found a bag with with two eels in it. Patrons were cleared of the bathroom once staff arrived to find the eels out of the bag squirming about. In the video, the eels can be seen swimming around the bathroom, avoiding security’s attempt to collect them.
Eventually, mall officials were able to capture the animals, and were brought to a local pet shop on Kennedy Road. Scarborough Town Centre Marketing Director Jai Lee told CP24 neither of the animals were harmed.
