Elon Musk hopes to see headphones become a thing of the past. The tech bro’s latest claim is that his new product, a brain chip implant, will have the capability to stream music directly into our brains.
Startup Neuralink, which was cofounded by Musk, has been developing “computer-brain interfaces” to help “humans keep pace with advanced artificial intelligence.” TechCrunch reveals that the idea is to “implant gossamer-thin wires” that are thinner than human hair into a human’s brain.

Currently, these wires would be connected to an external computer, but the goal is to eventually make the connection wireless.
Musk also claims that Neuralink could one day be able to cure mental health issues like depression and addiction.
