HAIM bassist Este Haim had a pretty…unique experience at Thundercats Los Angeles show over the weekend.
On Saturday night (November 27th), Thundercat brought a whole slew of guests out at Shrine Exposition Hall. His set boasted appearances from HAIM, Flying Lotus, Kamasi Washington, Steve Lacy, Louis Cole, and Ty Dolla $ign.
Este Haim had the most memorable appearance during the set, to say the least. Early on in the 18-song set, Danielle and Este joined Thundercat for a remix of “3am.” During the reunion, Este danced and twerked in front of Thundercat before taking a tumble. The bassist ended up falling over a stage monitor on stage.

Thundercat also performed “Black Gold” with Flying Lotus and “Fair Chance” with Ty Dolla $ign. Later on, Kamasi Washington appeared to perform “Them Changes” and “Funny Thing.” Steve Lacy also appeared to perform “Black Qualls.” Thundercat also reportedly covered Mac Miller’s “What’s The Use?” near the end of the show.

The “3am” remix that Danielle and Este Haim performed with Thundercat appears on the expanded version of 2020’s Women In Music Pt. III.
Both Danielle and Este Haim cameo opposite their sister Alana in the new Paul Thomas Anderson film, Licorice Pizza. The movie stars HAIM’s Alana Haim as Alana Kane and Cooper Hoffman as Gary Valentine.
