Back in June, Favours shared a video for “Left Behind.” The track is inspired by Favours’ love of DIY post-punk. Throughout the tune they deliver silky harmonies on top of catchy guitar riffs. The accompanying video comes packed with retro clips that feel as though they were shot on film.
“We created this track with guidance from Brendan Canning of Broken Social Scene, production by Mark Andrade, as well as additional tracking and mixing by Alexandre Bonenfont,” Favours explain. “This collaborative approach allowed us to develop a new sound that amplifies the emotional elements of our music. This song’s concept is rooted in moving on and exploring new opportunities, much as we we as a band have restructured and shifted our approach to making music.”
