Five things to do this Weekend in Toronto

Pugs, punk and potions are fueling the weekend

April is right around the corner and nothing is better than the fresh smell of spring! The city is buzzing with the new warmer weather, and light jackets have been broken out. From some sweet tunes to the cutest dogs in all the land, this weekend is gonna rock.

Check out our list of five things to do this weekend in Toronto.

Toronto Pug Grumble

Dog Bowl in Trinity Bellwoods Park | March 31, 2pm – 4pm | Free

Do you have a snorty, flat-faced bestie? Do you just love dogs? Bring your dog to meet all of their new best friends this weekend at the Pug Grumble! Don’t worry if you can’t make it, this isn’t the only time this is happening, they happen all year round! Start April off in a park full of pups and nothing can ever go wrong.

HideSeek

1305 Dundas St. West | March 30 to June 2, 12pm – 10pm | Tickets

Do you miss your childhood and all the fun things that came with it? Explore everything that makes the kid in you smile, like Pop Tarts, Hot Wheels and the amazing Slinky. Running from this weekend to the sunny days of June, you will want to go over as soon as you can. This is a fantastic immersive and interactive installation that will make you the happiest that you’ve been since the last time you had a Ring Pop.

Catch a Concert

My Son The Hurricane and Revive the Rose are coming to Lee’s Palace to bring you a night of musical wonder. Both of the bands are Ontario-based, so we have to welcome our neighbours into the city. My Son The Hurricane brings an army of instruments into the mix with a sweet funk sound. Revive the Rose comes in with a tough rock sound, something that is surely going to send the night into gear.

Viagra Boys are coming to the Hard Luck Bar to finally show us their talent. Their sound is so unique, with a rock/funk vibe and some super weird sounds in the background that just pull everything together. The Swedish group is bringing a whole new kind of music to the sound waves. Coming from other large bands, the members each bring their own style to the table, creating magic.

Downtown Record Show

Toronto Estonian House | March 31, 11am – 4pm | Door Fee

This event is THE place to be if you are looking for some new tunes to spin. With more than 100 000 records for sale, this show is going to have everything you’re looking for: reggae, hip hop, classic rock, jazz, metal, and more! Do not miss out on their $5 area either! All the records in the area are priced at $5 and they will go quickly! The doors do open at 11am with a door fee at $5 but if you want, you are able to go for early entry at 9am for $25.

Butterbeer Bar Crawl

Multiple Venues | March 30, 2pm – 10pm | Tickets

This event is bringing together your two favourite things: Harry Potter and booze! There are four different bars that will be visited on this crawl, and each of them have different Tri-Wizard Tournament inspired games where you can win prizes! The night doesn’t end when you reach the last bar, as there is a YULE BALL to finish the night off.
