It’s only the first weekend of April and we have already gotten some snow this month! Luckily, this weekend will not disappoint, as it’s looking like warmer weather is finally coming our way, just in time for some spring fun.

Toronto Int’l Spring of Horror and Fantasy Film Festival

Your craving for some new movies will be satisfied this weekend! Head over to Carlton Cinema to catch a great line-up of horror and fantasy films. The 27 Club and The Next Kill are set to be the feature films, but they have a large selection of short films and music videos to watch as well! All of them come from all over the world, so you are gonna find some horror that Canada has never seen before.
Awkward Easter Pet Photos

Forget pet pictures with Santa, that was so last year. Now it’s all about Easter pet photos! If you make a $25 donation to Fetch & Releash, a GTA-based company that rescues and re-homes dogs, you will get a photoshoot, copy of the photo and a goodie bag for your pup! It is all for a great cause and what is better than having photos of your doggo wearing some bunny ears?
Catch a Concert
Conan Gray is coming to The Mod Club with girl in red this Friday night. Conan Gray’s sound is a perfect blend of melancholic pop, while also delivering some tunes you can dance to! girl in red is the lovely Marie from Norway who makes the kind of chill music where you feel like she is speaking directly to you, with the youthful angst we all have inside.
The Toronto-based band, Jane’s Party, is playing this Saturday night at the Horseshoe Tavern! With a fun and energetic vibe, the night will be filled with the exact music that exudes spring and summer memories. The quartet has just released their newest album, Casual Island and this concert will be their release show, so you know it’s going to be a great one.

Four Chords and a Gun

Do you love The Ramones and theatre? Four Chords and a Gun is a play all about The Ramones and the making of their album End of the Century with producer extraordinaire Phil Spector. They would also like to make it known that this IS NOT A MUSICAL, but a play with a concert that follows afterwards. Making its Canadian debut here in Toronto, it will be here until later this month and will then make its way to Chicago, so if you want to go, make sure you grab those tickets!
