From Easter egg hunts to a 420 film festival, there’s something for everyone to enjoy this long weekend. The weather is supposed to be pretty brutal, considering it might rain every single day, but these exciting events will definitely get you out of the house.

Brewer’s Backyard

Evergreen Brickworks | April 19, 11am – 5pm | Free

Start off your weekend with some beer and snacks. 9 different breweries will be stationed at this event for all your brewing needs, such as Exchange Brewery, Nita Beer Company, Merit Brewing, Red Thread Brewing, and more! This is an all-ages event, so bring those kids along with you and share some good foods from a line up of vendors.

Easter Egg Hunts

With SO MANY hunts all over the city, there is no way that you won’t get some candy! Here is just a small list of the hunts that are going on across the city: Centreville Easter EGGstravaganza, Eggapalooza Family Event at Richmond Green Park, Good Friday Easter Egg Hunt at Kew Gardens, Kidnetix 13th Annual Easter Egg Hunt, 6th Annual JT Community Easter Egg Hunt at Carlton Park and the Easter Egg Hunt at Liberty Village Park! If the adults want to have some fun, then check out the Rec Room for their celebrations!

Catch a Concert


Be ready for Saturday night at Lee’s Palace. Thank You Scientist is a large band of seven people that have come together to create a very different sound. The New Jersey outfit was created a decade ago and even though members have come and gone, they have still maintained their very progressive rock sound.

Rival Sons is coming to the Danforth Music Hall this Friday night. This band has also been together for a decade and nothing seems to be stopping them. Having just released their newest album in January, the excitement has not died down. Their lead singer, Jay Buchanan, has pipes that will make you feel it in your bones and their use of instruments are just calling for a rocking time.

Get celebrating this Saturday with the ultimate stoner movie marathon! Start eating those munchies and getting settled into your seat because if you buy a ticket for one movie, you can stay as long as you want. The movies showing are Up in Smoke, Harold and Kumar go to White Castle, Friday and Dark Side of Oz.
