You’re in for a packed weekend, as there are just so many fun activities, from the CNE to a Cider Festival to the closing night of Christie Pits Film Festival. Make sure to get out there and enjoy one of your final weekends of the summer!

CNE 2019

The CNE is here! Indie88 proudly welcomes the Canadian National Exhibition happening from August 16th to September 2nd 2018 at Exhibition Place! Canada’s largest community event is back, and this year it boasts tons of entertainment, concerts, shopping, rides, games, and, of course, wild food and affordable eats!

Toronto Cider Festival 2019

This weekend marks the fifth annual Toronto Cider Festival, which takes place at Sherbourne Common. Not only does the award-winning festival showcases some of the best cider in the city, but it also boasts amazing music, delicious food, interactive games, and exciting contests. This year, there will be more than 100 kinds of cider from across Canada!

Catch a Concert

Head to the Budweiser Stage on Saturday, August 24th to catch Blue Rodeo with special guests Sam Roberts Band and The Devin Cuddy Band. This is a killer lineup that you won’t want to miss, as you’ll be sure to catch some classics as well as some fresh cuts all night long!

On Sunday, August 25th, head to REBEL to catch King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard with special guests Stonefield and Orb. With the release of both Infest The Rats’ Nest and Fishing For Fishies this year, you’ll be in for a huge range of tunes at this show, from thrash metal to quirky psych rock.

Taste of Italy

Canada’s Wonderland | August 24th – 25th, 12:00 pm – 7:00 pm | Park Admission

The fourth annual Taste of Italy Food Festival takes place at Canada’s Wonderland this weekend. Head to the park to be serenaded with live music and munch on some delicious Italian dishes like pizza, pasta, and more.

Christie Pits Film Fest Closing Night: The Talented Mr. Ripley

This Sunday marks the closing night for Christie Pits Film Fest, and they’ll be conducting a 20th anniversary screening of The Talented Mr. Ripley. This Pay What You Can event is bring your own blanket, and will feature eats and treats by El Trompo Movil, with popcorn at the festival canteen!
