Five things to do this weekend in Toronto

Christmas is almost here and the city of Toronto is full of Christmas cheer and high spirits.

It is the most wonderful time of year and that means there is an array of events and activities that you can enjoy. Get in the festive spirit at The Bentway Skate Trail, which opens this Friday, and you can see The Bentway transform into an urban winter wonderland. Check out five things to do this weekend below.

The Bentway Skate Trail

250 Fort York Blvd | December 20th – February 17th 2020

During the holidays, The Bentway transforms into an urban winter wonderland. The skating trail is a 220-metre figure-eight trail that is open seven days a week from 12 – 9 p.m. On-site of the trail there is a winter village that sells hot chocolate and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. There are warming stations to keep skaters warm and toasty before getting back on the ice. If you are new to skating there are free skate lessions for kids and adults, as well as rentals for those eager to get on the ice. The Bentway Skate Trail continues even after the holidays up until February 17th with amended weekday hours. Additionally, head to The Bentway on a Thursday for Free Skate Thursdays, which boasts free skate rentals from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm courtesy of Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport.
