Featuring a screening of 'RuPaul,' a pug grumble, and more!

What a busy weekend, Toronto!

There are tons of events to get you out in this wintery weather, so we’ve put together a list of some activities you won’t want to miss out on. From a Decades Dance Party to a screening of the premiere of Rupaul’s Drag Race season 12, there’s something for everyone this weekend.

Check out our top five things to do around the city this weekend below.

Decades Dance Party

Handlebar | February 8th, 9:00 PM – 2:00 AM | Free

Head to Handlebar tonight to dance your way through time with the Decades Dance Party! Not only is every hour a new DJ, but every hour is a new decade of music from the ’70s until today. The event aims to be like five New Year’s parties in one, and the top of every hour is a confetti-fueled countdown for the next decade.

RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 12 with Allysin Chaynes and Champagna

Gladstone Hotel | February 28th, 7:00 PM – 12:00 AM | Free

Be a drag every Friday night in the Gladstone Melody Bar, where Allysin Chaynes and Champagna will be hosting a live screening of season 12 of RuPaul’s Drag Race. The event boasts a pre show at 7:00 PM and 7:45 PM, with the screening at 8:00 PM and more show afterwards! This week marks the season’s premiere, so bring your fiercest friends to the best west end viewing party!

Catch a Concert

The Beaches are starting their three day run at the Danforth Music Hall today! The Toronto rockers are out performing their recently released EP, The Professional, which is a rowdy, dynamic collection of tracks that progressively moves toward a more anthemic energy.

Glass Animals are also making their return to Toronto, with a show at The MOD Club on Sunday! The band recently made their return with a new track called “Your Love (Déjà Vu),” so you’re bound to hear some new tunes at this show.

February 2020 Toronto Pug Grumble

Dog Bowl in Trinity Bellwoods Park | February 23rd, 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM | Free

Get ready for another pug meetup! Bring your pug to the Dog Bowl in Trinity Bellwoods park on Sunday for a Pug Grumble full of snorting! Pugs, Buggs, Chugs, Frugs, Jugs, Puggles, and Muggles are all welcome!

Hannah Gadsby

Roy Thomson Hall | February 29th, 8:00 PM | Tickets

Following her tenth solo show Nanette, Hannah Gadsby is returning to Toronto for another unbelievable stand up set. Gadsby has starred in her own Netflix Special, Please Like Me, and more, and she’s earned both an Emmy and a Peabody. This is one show you definitely won’t want to miss!
