FKA twigs has officially been cast in the reboot of The Crow alongside Bill Skarsgård, according to Deadline.
The upcoming remake will be directed by Rupert Sanders, who has directed Snow White And The Huntsman and Ghost In The Shell. 1994’s The Crow is pretty famous for the death of lead actor Brandon Lee after a prop gun accident on set. Following that film, three sequels were released: The Crow: City Of Angels, The Crow: Salvation and The Crow: Wicked Prayer.
“The Crow is beautiful, dark, poetic and sometimes disturbing,” Sanders explains to Deadline. “It is a story of love, loss, grief and revenge. It is a great honour to revisit James O’Barr’s iconic comic and reimagine The Crow as a foreboding voice of today.”
The forthcoming reboot of the ’90s thrilled will likely be just as dark and eerie as the original flick.
Bill Skarsgård will play Eric Draven, a murdered musician that’s resurrected from the grave by a crow. Throughout the film, he seeks revenge on those responsible for his death. Thus far, no other cast members have been announced. It’s also not yet been revealed what role Twigs will be playing in the movie.
The Crow is based on a 1989 graphic novel from James O’Barr. This new version will have a script written by Zach Baylin, who recently wrote acclaimed 2021 film King Richard. It will be produced by Edward R. Pressman and Malcolm Gray.
While no release date has been announced, the movie will begin filming this June.
