OSHEAGA have announced the headliners for their 15th anniversary festival.
The OSHEAGA Music and Arts Festival will return to Montreal’s Île Sainte-Hélène next summer, and today they’ve teased their lineup. Big name acts Foo Fighters, A$AP Rocky, and Dua Lipa will headline the festival’s three nights.
The bands will “commemorate 15 years of magic,” according to an announcement. “That’s 15 years of rocking stages and lighting up the sky, 15 years of friendship and memorable moments, 15 years of new discoveries and catching up with old favourites.”
OSHEAGA takes place at Parc Jean-Drapeau from July 19th to 31st, 2022. Weekend passes for the festival are available here.
Since the event was cancelled in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-19, passholders who continue to hold on to their passes will be able to use them at this year’s festival.
In April of 2020, Evenko postponed all of their events until the end of August, including OSHEAGA. Later on, in June, the event was pushed back to 2021.
“It is paramount for the Osheaga team to provide a world-class festival experience for all fans, and given the current circumstances, it would not be responsible for the artists, the fans, the partners, and employees to hold the festival this year,” a press release explained at the time. “The festival is currently working on the 2021 lineup to bring back some of the much-anticipated 2020 acts. More news to come!”
Then, in April of 2021, the festival announced that it would be moving the event once again to 2022. That festival was supposed to feature performances from headliners Foo Fighters, Cardi B, and Post Malone. Foo Fighters are the only headliner to carry over to this year’s event.
