Foodora launches LCBO delivery pilot in Toronto

You'll be able to order from a curated menu

Foodora has just launched an on-demand delivery pilot for LCBO products in Toronto.

Using the foodora website or app, Toronto residents of legal drinking age are now able to select and order form a curated list of LCBO bestsellers for same-day delivery to their door. Once selecting an item from the LCBO “menu,” customers can expect a 60-minute delivery window after the order has been placed.

All foodora riders delivering from the LCBO in Toronto will be Smart Serve-certified so that they can deliver alcohol to customers aged 19 and older, which means they will strictly follow the LCBO’s responsible service mandate, preventing alcohol sales to minors, intoxicated adults, and those who appear to be purchasing alcohol for either of those individuals. If a user fails to produce a valid ID, appears to be intoxicated, or attempts to purchase for a minor or someone impaired, the delivery will be cancelled and the user will be charged a $20 restocking fee.

On-demand LCBO delivery, which will feature a $6 flat delivery fee, will be available exclusively through foodora from Monday to Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to one hour before store close, which varies by location.
