Fyre Festival to be turned into a Tim Wardle-directed feature film

Two documentaries later...

After receiving a handful of documentaries, Billy McFarland’s failed Fyre Festival is set to be turned into a Tim Wardle-directed feature film.

According to Deadline, the yet-to-be-titled flick is going to be based on Bryan Burrough’s 2017 Vanity Fair article “Fyre Festival: Anatomy of a Millennial Marketing Disaster Waiting to Happen.” The film will be directed by Wardle, of Three Identical Strangers, with a script written by Emily Jerome.

While there’s no word on casting, the film has been optioned by Beau Flynn’s New Line/Warner Bros-based Flynn Picture Company.
