Glass Animals (Collective Arts Black Box Sessions)

Watch Glass Animals perform "Gooey" and "Life Itself" live at Indie88 in the Collective Arts Black Box.

If you’re a festival goer, you’ve probably come across Glass Animals before. After releasing their debut record Zaba in 2014, the band earned their way onto a ton of festival lineups including Glastonbury, Coachella, Wakarusa, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Osheaga, Reading and Leads.

Last year they released their second record, How to be a Human Being, which has been met with critical acclaim. The album’s eleven tracks cycle through the stories of eleven different characters.

Frontman Dave Bayley described the character featured in the song “Life Itself” as “a sci-fi obsessed dude who spends most of his time alone inventing strange things and writing stories about ray guns or looking for aliens on Google Maps.”
