The forthcoming eight-episode series is set to start Nicole Kidman, Cynthia Erivo, and Merrit Wever, alongside GLOW‘s very own Alison Brie. According to Variety, Roar will be a series of “darkly comic feminist fables,” based on Cecila Ahern’s book of the same name.
The half-hour show is being created for Apple TV+, but a release date has yet to be revealed.
Roar will be Flahive and Mensch’s first project for Apple after signing a deal with the company.
