‘Gremlins’ is reportedly becoming an animated television series

The horror comedy is making a comeback

The beloved film franchise Gremlins is set to become an animated television series, according to Variety.

Allegedly, they spoke with a handful of “sources” who revealed that the show is in development for WarnerMedia’s yet to be titled streaming service, but Warner Bros. and Amblin, who are supposed to be producing the supposed series, both refused to comment on the rumours.

According to Variety, the Gremlins series will “be a period piece that would follow Mr. Wing, the Chinese grandfather played in the films by Keye Luke, as a young man as he goes on adventures with the friendly Mogwai Gizmo.” They also revealed that Tze Chun is said to be tied to the series to write and executive produce.
