Canadian synth-pop superwoman Claire Boucher, also known as Grimes, took to Twitter to clear the air about the origin of her stage name.
In an interview with Lucy Jones from The Telegraph in 2012, Boucher said: “it’s a secret and I’m never going to tell because it’s actually really embarrassing.” Then, she goes on to (untruthfully) reveal that she named herself after artist Ken Grimes, known for his alien drawings.
At last, Grimes has unveiled the truth in tweets:
