Half Moon Run have returned with a new single, “Fatal Line.”
The track comes from 1969, an upcoming collection of original songs dedicated to the music of the late 60’s. On “Fatal Line,” Half Moon Run explore some new sonic territory. The string-led tune sees the band leaning into a folkier sound. Boasting some stunning harmonica lines and a “drums-in-the-right-ear” approach, the track channels the sounds of early Bob Dylan. Half Moon Run do channel the sounds of the late 60’s, but they add their own quintessential twist with three-part harmonies.
“Late 60’s is an aesthetic that we chase,” Half Moon Run explain.
Listen to “Fatal Line” below.
Out on April 12th, 1969 was developed by songwriter and producer Connor Seidel. In addition to Half Moon Run’s “Fatal Line,” the record will feature contributions from Elisapie, Safia Nolin, Ariane Moffatt, and more.
