Haviah Mighty, Lido Pimienta, Andy Shauf, more among 2021 Prism Prize top 10 shortlist

The Prism Prize have officially announced their top 10 shortlist for 2021.

Featuring videos from renowned artists like Haviah Mighty, Lido Pimienta, Andy Shauf, and more, Prism Prize has highlighted the top 10 Canadian music videos shortlisted for the Grand Prize, which will be announced during the 2021 virtual Prism Prize presentation on Monday, July 26th, 2021.

“The music videos in this year’s Prism Prize Top 10 represent the magic that can be borne out of raw and vulnerable artistic collaboration,” Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television VP, Programming & Awards and Prism Prize Founder Louis Calabro explains. “We are honoured to bring well-deserved recognition to these artists.”

The Prism Prize jury reviews over 300 eligible Canadian music videos annually and vote to determine the Top 20 and today’s Top 10 shortlist. Of these 10 videos, one will be awarded the Grand Prize of $20,000, while all other teams on the shortlist will get $1,000 courtesy of Patron partner Slaight Music.

While the Grand Prize is awarded to a video from the Top 10 shortlist, all videos from the Top 20 are eligible for the Audience Award. You can check out the full list of videos here and vote for your favourite until Wednesday, June 23rd here.

The Prism Prize virtual ceremony is set to take place on July 26th at 8:00 p.m. on PrismPrize.com and the Prism Prize Twitter and YouTube pages.
