Upwards of 42 millimetres of rain hit Toronto on Thursday afternoon, causing flooding in several parts of the city. The area north of Eglinton Avenue was especially impacted after the Black Creek river overflowed onto roadways.

Flooding also shut down southbound lanes on the Don Valley Parkway near Gerrard Street Thursday afternoon. The TTC and Metrolinx are advising customers to check schedules as flooding has impacted various routes in and around the city.
