Every year, Tokyo hosts a mundane Halloween costume party, where attendees dress in normal, banal outfits.
Twitter user Melissa Martin (@DoubleEmMartin) brought together a selection of some of the hilarious costumes. “Happy Halloween Eve,” she wrote on Twitter. “It’s time for another year of my all-time favourite festivity, Tokyo’s mundane Halloween costume party, where folks dress up as an utterly normal and boring thing.” From a “guy who washed his hands and wiped them on his clothes” to a “couple that got into a fight at Disneyland and now have a tense atmosphere between them,” these outfits are sure to make you laugh.
