People passing by an elevator at Dundas West Station were treated to a reading of Dan Brown’s novel Inferno on Wednesday, courtesy of the intercom system. A YouTube user, Michelle P, posted video of the intercom playing an excerpt of the novel.
“We’re just looking into how that could have happened, it is a little strange,” TTC spokesperson Kadeem Griffiths told the Toronto Star.
Redditors floated a theory that a TTC employee could have been listening to an audio book version of the novel and left their microphone on. Whatever the case, it was a bizarre occurrence.
