Kanye West resurfaced on Twitter last week with a seemingly endless stream of cryptic tweets and announcements for forthcoming new music. On Wednesday, things took a decidedly political turn, despite Ye stating he’s not political.
West began tweeting about President Donald Trump, declaring his love for his “brother.” He later followed that tweet up with a message referencing his wife Kim Kardashian-West asking him to clarify that he does not agree with everything Trump does. Things got even more surprising when West posted a photo of himself in a signed “Make America Great Again” hat.
You don't have to agree with trump but the mob can't make me not love him. We are both dragon energy. He is my brother. I love everyone. I don't agree with everything anyone does. That's what makes us individuals. And we have the right to independent thought.

my wife just called me and she wanted me to make this clear to everyone. I don't agree with everything Trump does. I don't agree 100% with anyone but myself.

Of course, you know where this would eventually lead. Trump himself quote tweeted West with thanks for his support.
Thank you Kanye, very cool! https://t.co/vRIC87M21X
