Here’s what’s open and closed on Family Day in Toronto

Family Day is coming up, as it takes place this Monday, February 17th!

A lot of places close for the holidays, so we’ve put together a list of some of the spots that will be open on Monday. From the TTC to the Royal Ontario Museum, check out what’s open and closed on Family Day below.


The TTC will be running on a holiday service schedule on Family Day.

GO Transit

GO Transit will be running on Saturday service on Family Day, so make sure to check the right schedule if you’re taking the train!


All LCBO stores will be closed on Monday, February 17th for Family Day.

Canada Post

Canada Post will continue delivering mail on this year’s holiday.

Toronto Eaton Centre

If you’re thinking about going to the Eaton Centre, you’re in luck! The mall will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Family Day this year.

Yorkdale Mall

Yorkdale Shopping Centre will unfortunately be closed on Family Day this year.

Ripley’s Aquarium

Ripley’s Aquarium will stay open on Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

The Royal Ontario Museum

Spend your Family Day at the Royal Ontario Museum this year, as it will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.


While some restaurants will be closed on Family Day, a handful will stay open, like Rabba Fine Foods. Make sure to call ahead if you’re thinking of heading to a restaurant this Family Day!
