Last week, a peacock was seen flying across roofs, laneways and trees in Toronto’s west end after escaping from the High Park Zoo. But, the beautiful bird has returned home – sort of. This morning, he was spotted hanging out amongst the bisons at High Park.

Happy to report that the peacock from @HighParkZoo is visiting the bisons this morning. So just a hop skip and a jump and he will be home.

Animal control officers tried using nets and blankets to catch the peacock, but stopped on Sunday in fear that he would flee further from the zoo. They then said that feeding stations would be set up in west side parks to entice the bird to go to a place where officials could get a hold of him. Turns out, they just needed to give the guy some space.
The zoo hopes that the beautiful bird will fly back to his appropriate pen soon.
