Highlights: Coachella Weekend One 2014

Couldn't make it to California for Coachella last weekend? Don't worry we'll run you through all the big highlights.

Weekend one of Coachella has come and gone but not without wowing thousands of people. Like every big festival, there are certain moments where no one can believe what they’re seeing. With names like Outkast, Arcade Fire, Muse, Pharrell, Lorde, Broken Bells, etc, those moments were bound to happen. Apologies if these highlights give you a serious case of ‘FOMO’.

Closing out day one of the three day festivities was the highly anticipated reunion of Outkast, and they did not disappoint:

 

A Haim fan brought quite possibly the funniest bit of fan fare ever to the LA sisters’ Coachella set. A giant picture of Este’s “Bass Face”. You can catch Haim at the Kool Haus May 15th here in Toronto.

Lorde dazzles in white as the end of night one approaches:

 

Queens of the Stone Age blasted through a dust cloud and continued to crush there set in front of thousands of fans:

 

The Pixies had big competition with their set taking place the same time as Lorde and Foster the People, but still the Mojave tent was packed with adoring fans:

 

Pharrell got the crowd moving early, kicking off his set with the Daft Punk collab “Lose Youreself to Dance”:

 

Beck plays through material spanning over his entire career as the second headliner on the final night:

 

Arcade Fire ended the weekend off in typical Arcade Fire fashion, playing the hits from all 4 of their records:
