It’s a sad, sad day for bargain-hunting Torontonians as the landmark discount store Honest Ed’s is shutting their doors for the very last time this Saturday, December 31st.
Open for more than 60 years, Honest Ed’s has stood proudly at Bloor and Bathurst with it’s extravagant 60s-era light display, as a beacon for shoppers looking for good deals and honest prices.
Normally the department store is filled to the brim with shelves of products, but as the store approaches its final days customer are taking every little piece of memorabilia they can to keep forever a part of Toronto history. Take a look inside its last days in a series of photos courtesy of Jae Yang.
