Ice Music: A Celebration of the Winter Spirit of Swedish Lapland

This is super cool. An orchestra in Sweden is putting on a series of shows inside an Igloo with instruments made entirely out of ice – they call them ICEstruments. They had the pieces specially made by sculptor Tim Linhart. There is a violin, guitar, drum kit, banjo, mandolin and a xylophone, all handcrafted from ice blocks. Wanna know what they sound like? Absolutely beautiful. Maybe we can get Arcade Fire to keep the ice at the ACC for next week’s show. Do you know any good ice sculptors?
