IDLES frontman Joe Talbot joins Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes for performance of ‘My Town’

IDLES frontman Joe Talbot has joined Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes for a live performance video of their recent collaboration, “My Town.”

Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes are readying the release of their fourth studio album, Sticky, on October 15th via International Death Cult. The album features some big guest appearances including IDLES’ Joe Talbot and Primal Scream’s Bobby Gillespie.

Back in June, Joe Talbot joined Frank Carter and co. on stage at Download Festival to perform the track. Now, the artists have shared a professional live video of that performance. The raucous rendition of the tune sees Talbot adding a grittier energy to the live performance.

Watch the performance of “My Town” below.

The song is a metaphor for “our collective mental health falling apart,” Frank Carter explains.

“It’s easy to dissociate when it’s someone else’s problem but we are each responsible for keeping the streets clean, looking out for our fellow neighbours and acting with kindness and respect as we walk through life. We can look into this town and see the seedy underbelly, the dirt, the disdain, the undercurrent of hate and despair. And then we are reminded that ‘My Town’ looks just like yours, and no one gives a fuck at all and if we don’t start looking after ourselves soon then we are all going to be in big trouble.”
