After losing their funding and changing venue after venue, Woodstock 50 organizers announced that, not only will the festival be relocating to Columbia, Maryland, but the entire event will be free, according to TMZ.
According to TMZ’s sources, the organizers will be releasing tickets soon, which will be free of charge. While the tickets won’t cost anything, the festival is encouraging attendees to donate to several different causes. Additionally, VIP tickets will still be sold at a cost in an attempt to fund the festival.

Making the festival free seems to be a last-minute attempt to have artsts hold onto their earlier contracts after the location change, which nullified the contracts. Jay-Z, Dead & Company, and John Fogerty have all already pulled out of the festival.
Woodstock 50 is currently scheduled to run from August 16th to 18th at Merriweather Post Pavillion in Columbia, Maryland.
