Swedish furniture giant IKEA, has announced plans to begin selling commuter bicycles in stores around the GTA starting this fall.
The idea comes as a solution to improve GTA traffic and cut down on pollution. That’s what they’re hoping, at least. Paired with the hope that it will urge more Torontonians to take advantage of greener forms of transportation, the environmentally friendly idea will surely make purchasing a bike for first-time cyclists more accessible.
Take a look below at the model:
For most casual bike riders, it may not look all that different. But this set of wheels come with a 25-year limited warranty on the frame and 10-year limited warranty on the belt drive. The starting price for the these bikes aren’t cheap, however. with a $600 price tag, just be glad they’re pre-assembled.
