Images of ANTIFA protestors circulated by alt-right are actually just The National

Alt-right groups online have been sharing images of the band, calling for their arrest

As protests continued across America over the weekend following the death of George Floyd, and president Donald Trump blamed looting and disruption on ANTIFA, many online alt-right groups began sharing images of protestors and calling for their arrest.

You may recognize some of the men in the images floating around, as they’re beloved indie-rock outfit The National. The band has been supportive of the protests, and somehow Aaron Dessner has found himself a target of alt-right groups.

Dessner responded to being misidentified.
