In Case You Missed It: Week Of August 18

Brand new shares from The Foo Fighters, Rural Alberta Advantage, Death From Above and Interpol

While you’ve been slaving away at work this week, we’ve had some pretty noteworthy releases come our way. We got a deep synth sounding new cut from Rural Alberta Advantage, ‘Death From Above’ has shared another song from their upcoming record The Physical World, and The Foo Fighters have premiered their album teaser.

Here are the best online releases of the week:

The Rural Alberta Advantage have a new record called Mended With Gold ready to be released on September 30th. In ancipation of that they’ve shared a deep synth driven new song called “On The Rocks”.

Hailing from just an hour west of here in Dundas, Ontario, The Dirty Nil dropped a new song from their recently released 7-inch. If you like gritty, loud punk, then you’ll dig this song.

Not only will ‘The Foos’ be releasing a new record called Sonic Highways on November 10th, they have a 7 episode HBO series with the same name that will lead up to its due date. The band unveiled a teaser for the series, check it out below:

Carbiou has a new album called Our Love on October 7, and while we wait patiently for its big release, we can listen to the title track.

Our favourite trio of musical sisters, Haim, have shared a new video for the Days Are Gone hit “My Song 5”. The video setting is a fictitious talk show called “The Dallas Murphy Show” and it features appearances from Ezra Koenig, Grimes, Kesha and more.

Interpol will drop El Pintor in just a few weeks (September 9th). This week they gave us one more song to tide us over until it comes out. Take a listen to “Ancient Ways”.

Death From Above 1979 hasn’t released a new record in 10 long years. This year that will all change. The Physical World will hit stores on September 9th and you can check out the new track “Government Trash” below:
