In Case You Missed It: Week of Feb 16

New shares from Blur, Father John Misty, July Talk and more

Even though it was a short week, there was no shortage of new releases. Listen to a brand new song from Modest Mouse, Father John Misty covered a pair of legends, Jack White released a highly interactive new video, and BLUR IS BACK.

Check it all out here.

Blur hasn’t released a new record in 16 years but that changes in 2015. The Magic Whip will be releasedon April 27th and here is the record’s first single, called “Got Out”.

Just before Father John Misty brought down the house at The Danforth Music Hall on Wednesday night, he shared two new covers. Watch as he channels his inner Cobain and Cohen.

“Heart Shaped Box”

“I’m Your Man”

Jack White not only has insane features on his vinyl, he has them in his videos too. Get involved with his new interactive 3-in-1 video for “That Black Bat Licorice”.

Passion Pit will drop a new record entitled Kindred on April 21. To get you all jazzed up about the forthcoming LP, they’ve shared two new cuts:

“Lifted Up (1985)”

“Where The Sky Hangs”

Joel Plaskett will share The Park Avenue Sobriety Test on March 17th. We’ve heard the title track already but Mr. Plaskett is a generous man, he’s given us one more sneak peak at what the album will sound like with “On A Dime”. Give it a listen below:

Toronto darlings July Talk are back with a rambunctious new video for “Someone”. If you’ve never seen them before this is a very good representation of their live show… other than the tub.
