Indie88 Adds ‘The Josie Dye Show’ To Its On-Air Lineup

TORONTO, ON (March 15, 2017) – Toronto’s Indie88 (88.1 FM) is excited to announce a new morning show program, The Josie Dye Show, airing 6 a.m.-10 a.m. EST, Monday-Friday. The show will feature Josie Dye and current Indie88 hosts Matt Hart and Carlin Burton, and will debut this Monday, March 20, 2017.

Now in its fourth year, Indie88 has spent the past six months searching for the perfect morning show that Toronto has been missing. “There’s no better host than someone who has been passionately involved in the alternative music scene in Toronto for the past 15 years, speaking to Torontonians about their lives, this city, and music — a true voice of the people,” says Christina Fitzgerald, Program Director at Indie88.

“Josie is your music, your lifestyle, your Toronto, joining Matt and Carlin in the morning. Together, they’ll open up about their life struggles, failing at adulting, how they interact in this city, their curiosities and their love for music. As they connect together with the Indie88 audience, they’re sure to become the new best friends of Toronto.”

As one of Canada’s most well-known radio and TV hosts, Dye will bring her straight-forward, fun-loving style to wake up Toronto over the Indie88 airwaves every weekday morning. Her past on-air experience includes 14 years at 102.1 The Edge and creator of “Josie’s Top 20”, a syndicated Top 20 show that aired across Canada. Throughout her career, Dye has interviewed a diverse list of celebrities including Oprah Winfrey, Drake, and Dave Grohl. Her 2014 interview with Nirvana producer Butch Vig saw him share unheard stories of his experience working alongside Kurt Cobain. Her TV experience includes eight seasons of “Oh So Cosmo” on Cosmo TV and host of Canada’s W Network from 2013-2017. With 70,000-plus followers on her social media channels, Dye is a Canadian voice that indie music fans trust.

Dye has always been a fan of Indie88. “I love the energy of this radio station,” she says, “everyone who works here has one goal and that is to be the best radio station in the city. I can’t wait to be part of this passionate group of friends called Indie88.”

Independently owned and operated, Indie88 puts an emphasis on playing new music by emerging artists with a special focus on musicians from Toronto.
